The International Society for Stem Cell Research isscr.org was formed in 2002 to promote the exchange of information among stem cell scientists worldwide. It’s an independent not-for-profit group, and part of its mission is to help educate the general public about stem cell research, especially those seeking stem cell treatment. The ISSCR site provides access to a collection of essays on various aspects of stem cell research and what they mean for the future of the field and medical care, as well as informative videos about stem cells, stem cell treatments, and related topics. The Stem Cell Briefings section provides news about advances in research. You also can access the ISSCR’s Patient Handbook on Stem Cell Therapies.
